I have been here a few times over the years. The true test of love, is when you get excited to see one of your favs on the list of available rooms for your stay! This inn is one that hits that note for me! I love staying, my son loves it here and now we enjoy our return visit even more as knowing what's around and what to expect has totally become our comfort zone! The rooms have always been clean and the variety of styles both upstairs and downstairs makes this place truly unique! The charm of the lobby amongst the options in the area, plus the access to so many Oceanside staples is unparalleled. The staff have always been friendly, professional, and busy busy making sure everything is in place and so comfortable to be around. The beach is literally a 15 minute walk, Denny's is only 5 minutes, In and Out down the road and not too far away... Plus the shops and restaurants on the Harbor are on the way to the beach from this location A+ in my book for not only the location, the price, staff, and the rooms!

This is an inn and very inexpensive. It is outdated and needs repairs. With that being said, I knew what I was risking staying here. I was shocked to walk into a very clean room. I mean clean. We travel with our cat. Therefore, I tend to clean the rooms as she is blind and needs to explore every corner to learn her environment. When I moved the end tables I was so happy to see no debris whatsoever. I don't even get this cleanliness in some 4 star locations. This made me very happy and comfortable. I smoke and felt very comfortable and safe going out at night to smoke. I was greeted by a very welcoming, helpful and caring staff member when I arrived. I would definitely stay again if in the area. 🥰

I'm writing this review in July 2026- In case anyone reads this in the future. I stayed two nights in a single bed room in this hotel, and for the price is was really nice. The desk clerk was well mannered and straight to the point. He didn't try to sell me anything which felt nice for a change. The room was old, naturally, with cracked paint on the walls and signs of age; but that's okay because it's just how the building is. The room was clean, floor was clean, bedsheets were clean, and for the price is was pretty big too! Honestly walking into it I expected the worst for 80 dollars a night, but it was really pleasant to see my expectations were completely wrong :) For my fellow nerds (gamers) out there, the free wifi was good. Consistent ping ~2 ms variation, and 60Mbps download. That wifi is better than I've had in hotels in the area that are 2x and 3x the price! The rooms have locked doors that go over to the next room as well, so if you have family staying in multiple rooms you can connect them simply by undoing the deadbolt, which I found really nice. There were no bugs, dirt, mold. The water was at a good pressure and hot water was consistent with no noticeable temperature fluctuations :) Would I recommend this for budget travelling? Absolutely! It was a nice place, fridge was clean and working, microwave was working fine, and the TV had Friends and Big Bang Theory, which is all you need for a hotel TV :) I was in room 104. I've seen from other reviews that different rooms have varying quality, but the one I was in had no major issues :)
